You know a few weeks ago I announced my in-studio style sessions I am now offering at my La Mesa photography studio. I am located right in the heart of downtown La Mesa in the village right on Third and La Mesa Blvd… I couldn’t ask for a more PRIME location! (I know… I haven’t posted pictures yet! I will!) Anyway, I recently added these sessions to my menu of offerings. I am not one of those generic in-studio photographers you see in the mall. I am not a quickie, cheap, cookie cuter photographer where you can come in, sit in front of a wall of 30 backdrops, spend 10-20 minutes on your session, and see your images 20 minutes later. I put a lot of creativity, time, energy, effort, thought and my heart into every session I do. I feel that every session I do is a part of not only me, but a piece each family is going to have with them forever. The goal is not “lets take facebook photos” (although I do have that session coming up July 18th) or “lets take snapshots to put 8×10 desk prints on the wall”… the goal is to provide each of my clients with a unique & high end experience that they will not only have fun at, but want to keep coming back again and again.

In-studio style sessions are another line of options for you to have me photograph you and your family. A lot of people have asked for it through the past year and I decided I am going to give you what you ask for. The studio was all moved around (no more play room, sorry). These sessions are pretty unique. You will find yourself either on a white high-key set up, on a warm gray background while sitting on a sofa with your family, or sitting on the wood flooring interacting together. I am able to do head shots, business profiles, smaller family sessions, single subject’s on other backgrounds, newborns, dogs, in-studio boudoir (coming soon… not yet!), and all my mini-sessions so time of day is not important.

Anyway back to the original post! Today (with pink eye and all) I had my husband bring our daughter in to do an example of how they look. My daughter was testing out my high-key white, along with the warm gray. I love how they came out. No-I did not put her glasses on. She marched into my studio with them on ready to rock it. Cute huh?

I am SO excited come JULY (or, beginning of August) when little Unnamed Jones comes (they haven’t selected his name yet!) because thats when I get to meet my new nephew! I was so excited to photograph my sister in law’s maternity session up in the redwoods while visiting them up a few weeks ago. I could definitely shoot in those redwoods every single day… but it’s a bit of a drive from San Diego!

This was probably one of my quickest maternity sessions due to daddy being very antsy to not be photographed, but I think he did just fine

And of course, miss Lucy was pregnant and due to have her puppies so we did a maternity shot of her and & charlie! Shortly after, she had 5 little puppies

Well, I should title it “Baby Cline has arrived” but, since I did this session before they even knew what they were having I should title it appropriately

The Cline’s are one of the families who have been with me from the beginning and I love photographing them! When I saw Monica one day and she said “I’m pregnant!” I was beyond excited! Another little Cline to photograph! I mean– with these cute kids could it NOT be fun photographing them? We did their maternity photo session/family session at Wind & Sea beach in La Jolla and I LOVE how these came out!

Coming soon– their newborn session of the baby. Want to guess if they had a boy or girl?

Beth and Mark are having a baby! I am so excited to photograph the little lovebug soon! We did their maternity photo session in La Jolla and the images could not have been any better! I am so happy they loved their pictures.  Expect to see some of these up in the new studio!

Meet (again) little miss Abby and her mom and dad. She’s going to be a big sister to two little ones coming in July… I am so excited to be photographing them for their first year of pictures (and more of her). If they are as adorable as their sister (which I’m sure they will be) then be on the look out for some REALLY cute shots. I photographed Abby and her cousins when I first started the business (long time ago) and captured some really cute stuff. Mom and dad said they don’t like their picture taken.. they sure did a fantastic job looking like we were having fun! I even got to call Tinkerbell during our session to let her know Abby wanted to see her in the camera….she showed up Abby said!

The creation fee is $250 weekday/$350 weekend and then prints are ala carte, but for this special I am including a 5×5 10 page session album ($325 value). Here are the baby shower invitations I designed for Sarah from her maternity sessions! I offer custom invites, annountments, thank you notes and cards all professionally lab printed. These are thick flat cards, not photo cards. These are beautiful in person–on fine linen paper and the back is pink… way cute

We offer this new mothers special for those of you who know you will want three sessions with us.  You can space them out how you wish– so for instance, a maternity session, a newborn session, and then a 4 month session.  Or you maybe want a newborn, 6 month then 12 month.  The rate is $725 for the three sessions and it’s discounted from the normal weekend rate of $975 (if you were to have three sessions).

Makes a great shower gift too!

So my new policy is I do not post the sample pictures here until clients have had their viewing session in my studio, but since Sarah is having me design her shower invites (a service I provide!) I have to post them asap so she can see them Not to mention they came out totally cute and I want to show them to you.
